SunExpress was founded in Antalya in 1989 with the equal partnership of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, both of the world's most important airline companies. The company, which made its first flight in 1990, still continues its activities by benefiting from the rich knowledge of German and Turkish aviation, which comes from its strong shareholder structure.
