Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Don Mueang Intl. Airport

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.    

Personal Car

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Asuncion City Center from Airport

Silvio Pettirossi Intl. Airport

You can easily get to Asuncion city center from the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport by taking a taxi or taking advantage of your hotel's airport shuttle if they offer this service. If you want to make transportation easier for your entire trip, you can rent a car at the airport. To keep your transportation costs at a minimum, you can take public buses that take you from the airport to the city center.

Car Rental

Sixt Company provides car rental service at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. You can reach the city center in about 20 minutes on average if the traffic is not heavy. At the airport exit, connect to the Silvio Pettirossi Motorway and follow the city center signs in the south-west direction.

Taxi

You can see the taxis in front of the arrival terminal of the airport. It is possible to reach the city center in 20 minutes by taxi.

Bus

You can reach the Asuncion city center in 30-40 minutes according to the traffic intensity by 30-A bus line departing from the airport.

Hotel Shuttles

Many accommodation centers in Asuncion provide airport shuttle services. While most accommodation centers offer this service based on a fee, a small number of hotels offer it free of charge. You can use these services by booking in advance by contacting your hotel. So you are welcomed by your driver at the airport and you arrive at your hotel without any difficulties.
