Transportation to Airport from N'djamena City Center
N'Djamena Intl. Airport
From N’djamena city center you can go to Hassan Djamous International Airport by taxi, bus, rental car or the airport shuttle of your hotel. The airport is at a very short distance from the city center: 3.5 kilometers.
Car Rental
There are various companies in the city center where you can rent a car from. If you rent a car to go to the airport, you must drive west via the Rue de la Gendarmerie. The journey takes only 8-10 minutes.
Taxi
It is always possible to find a taxi in the city center. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the airport from the city center by taxi and the taxi fares are not too high. Nevertheless, it is also useful to bargain on the price beforehand.
Bus
It is also possible to reach the Hassan Djamaous International Airport with airport buses departing from the city center. While the buses are very affordable, you should keep in mind that you should not look for comfort in these vehicles.

Tram
The tram is one of the most convenient transportation alternatives to get to the city center from Bremen Airport. The tram also provides transportation to surrounding cities. Tram number 6 provides transportation to the city center and departs directly from the terminal. The tram takes 11 minutes to get to the train station in the city center (Hauptbahnhof). One of the stops along this route is Bremen Am Brill, which is a 5-minute walk from the historic city center, where St. Peter’s Cathedral is located. From the main train station you can transfer to a train to get to Bremerhaven, which is known as “Bremen’s Harbor”.
Taxi
One of the fastest transportation alternatives to get to the city center from Bremen Airport, which is located 3.5 km away, is by taxi. The fact that the airport is located in such close proximity to the city makes the total fare quite reasonable. Taxis are readily available at the terminal exit.
Rental Car
Renting a car is another transportation alternative to get to the city center. There are 5 different rental companies that have offices at the airport, all of which are located in Terminal 3. Each company offers vehicles with winter tires due to the city’s location in the north. In addition, each company offers vehicles that come equipped with navigation and baby car seats. You can also rent a bicycle and bike to the city center since it is located in such close proximity. Biking to the city center from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes. The airport features free bicycle parking areas in front of Terminal 2.
To drive to the city center by car make a left on Neuenlander Street once you exit the airport. This will take you to Langemarckstraße, passing directly over the Weser River, which splits the city into two, and going through the city center, which is where the central train station is located. The street named Hutfilterstraße after the bridge will take you to the historic city center.
