Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Don Mueang Intl. Airport

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.    

Personal Car

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Cebu City Center from Airport

Mactan Cebu Intl. Airport

The easiest way to get to the city center from Mactan - Cebu International Airport is to take a taxi or rent a car. However, if you prefer to use public transport, you can go to the city center by transferring on three separate bus lines.

Taxi

You can reach the city center in half an hour by taking a taxi from the airport. You can bargain about the taxi fare.

Car Rental

By renting a car at the airport you can have a means of transport for your entire trip. You will have to cross Marcelo Fernan Bridge and head south on the Central Nautical Route with the car you rent. Under normal conditions, you can reach the city center in half an hour.

Bus

If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take bus number 23 at the bus stop in front of the Mactan Marina Mall shopping center near the airport. You must transfer to bus number 21A at Mandaue station. You will reach the city center if you get on the 13C bus after getting off at Talamban stop. Although bus is a very affordable means of transportation, you should remember that the total journey time is close to two hours.
