Transportation to Airport from Dublin City Center

Dublin Airport

It is possible to reach the airport by buses 16, 16C, 33, 41, 41C and 747 departing from Parnell Square and O’Connell road, which is also the busiest street of the city and passes through the Liffey River dividing the city into two. The city buses 16 and 747 are the shortest routes to the airport.

Car

If you want to get to the airport from Dublin city center by car, you need to head to the Dublin Port turnout through Parnell Square and then take the Swords Road. You can arrive at Dublin Airport, which has a car park with 7950 car capacity, in about 20 minutes. One potential problem you may experience while driving is that the traffic flows on the left-hand side, the reverse direction compared to the traffic in Turkey.

Rapid Transit

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) high-speed trains or Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) trains are a great way to get to the city center from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. These trains stop at various stops in the city. The TRE line station is located in close proximity to the airport. If you are going to take the TRE line you have to first take the shuttles, which depart from the bottom floor of each terminal every 15 minutes, to the Remote South Parking area. From there you have to get on the buses that go to the CentrePort Train station. Train ticket prices can vary; you can purchase a single day use ticket for around 5 USD or a single use ticket for around 2.25 USD. The train to downtown Dallas takes about 20 minutes.

Those who want to take the DART have to go to the train station located at the lower level of Terminal A. If you land at a different terminal you can use the Skylink to get to Terminal A. DART fares are the same as TRE fares. However the TRE doesn’t run on Sundays while the DART operates every day of the week.

There are a variety of airport shuttle buses that provide transportation to various parts of the city. The most widely used shuttle bus company is the Go Yellow Checker Shuttle. Other shuttle bus companies that you can use include City Shuttle and SuperShuttle. These buses are accessible from the top floor of each terminal at the airport. Shuttle fares start at 15 USD and are collected once you are on board the bus. You can also pay the fare with a credit card.

Taxi

Airport taxis are accessible from the top floor of Terminals A, B, C, and E, and the bottom floor of Terminal D. There are auxiliary staff members at each taxi stop. Taking a taxi to downtown Dallas costs around 45 USD.

Hotel Shuttles

These signs will take you to the bus stop from where buses provide free transportation to the Car Rental Facility. These buses run every 10 minutes and operate 24 hours a day.
